ELAC Speech & Debate Team

ELAC Speech Team is a top-ranked, nationally recognized intercollegiate competitive speaking program. Student competitors participate in regional, state, and national tournaments that include 2- and 4-year institutions.

With a focus both on individual events and debate, the ELAC Speech Team and program offers students the chance to gain confidence and the necessary communicative skills to be competitive in personal, academic, and career life.

Team members practice and compete individually or with a partner to uncover different types of truth through speech, performance, and/or debate.

To join, enroll in COMM 106 or COMM 107 for the fall or spring terms.
