Guillermo Castro, Assistant Design Engineer, LEED GA & Draftsman

Guillermo Castro

Mr. Castro transferred from ELAC in 2016 and graduated from CSULA in 2019. He is currently working for two companies, one for YDG Engineer, Inc., and a second one called Fine Line System Engineer. His duties include CAD work involving mechanical, electrical and civil engineering plans, &, standard plans for architecture designs. He also performs home assessments while performing load calculations. Mr. Castro also performs Title 24 and Electrical Calculations. Mr. Castro also performs street and grading plans.

Andrew Wong, Jr. Engineer

Andrew Wong and Humberto Gallegos

Mr. Wong is currently working for ACE Clearwater as a Jr. Engineer performing manufacturing procedures, planning, rolling reviews, and MFG. setups and CAD work. He graduated from CSULA in 2019 and transferred from ELAC in 2015.

Luis Miramontes, NC Programmer

Luis Miramontes

Luis Miramontes transferred to CSU, Long Beach's Antellope Valley Engineering Program and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Since then he has been working for Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works in Production Engineering as an NC Programmer. Luis also has been and is still active in SHPE and HOLA, holding various leadership positions.

Roberto Sedano, Survey Party Chief

Roberto Sedano, PE, PLS

Mr. Roberto Sedano attended East Los Angeles College during the spring of 2003 and transferred during the fall of 2006 to attend Cal State Los Angeles. He graduated with a degree in civil engineering during the fall 2009 semester. Mr. Roberto Sedano is a DUAL professional licensee in civil engineering and land surveying (PE no. C82519, PLS no. 9291). He is constantly giving technical presentations to our E&T students regarding the work types he currently manages for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Miguel Becerra, Gas Rotational Engineer

Miguel Becerra, Gas Rotational Engineer

Miguel Becerra transferred to Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo in the fall of 2016. He graduated during the spring of 2019 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Mr. Becerra is currently on a rotational program to gain as much experience he can to understand the company's business and engineering design process.

Ms. Flores transferred from ELAC in 2016. She graduated from CSULB on December 2018 with a bachelors degree in chemical engineering. Ms. Flores is currently working for Cummins as a Certification and Compliance Engineer. While attending EAST, Ms. Flores was president of SHPE, vice president of the American Chemical Society (ACS), and president of the Women Engineers (WE) student chapter at ELAC.

Angel Huezo, Design Engineer

Angel Huezo graduated from CSULA with a MS in civil engineering in 2017. He is currently working for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, Design section. He is currently involved in the design of hydraulic structures.

Luis Munoz, Lead Engineer and Operation

Luis Munoz

Luis Munoz transferred from ELAC and graduated with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from the University of Michigan. He then obtained a MS in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from CSULA. Mr. Munoz is currently working for Glenair with the title of Lead Engineer and Operations

Kent graduated from USC with his BS and MS in civil engineering during 2010 & 2011 respectively. He is currently licensed as a Structural Engineer and holds the title of Project Engineer for John A. Martin & Associates Structural Engineers

Civil Designer Karina Lamadrid graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 2016 with a BS in Civil Engineering. She is currently working for RailPros.

Tom received his BS degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and holds an MS in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MS in Management from M.I.T. Tom founded Versacad Corporation and operated it successfully until it was sold to Prime Computer, Inc. Tom has held executive management positions at Fluor, Prime Computer, Computervision, PowerPlan and now Archway.
