On behalf of our amazing staff, faculty, and administration, it is a great honor and privilege to welcome you to East Los Angeles College’s Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD). We are dedicated to serving the community by providing quality and comprehensive programming for all students.

CEWD has developed key partnerships, programs, and education-to-career pathways in over 100 Career Education fields of study. By having real-world industry partnerships our programs are able to remain current with workforce trends and continue to develop cutting- edge curricula that meet the needs of our industry and business partners, while also satisfying the diverse interests and needs of our current and future students. Our programs include work- based learning opportunities that connect academic learning to today’s workforce, allowing students to gain the technical skills needed to enter high-growth and high-wage employment opportunities- while being a well-rounded team members in their desired industry.

We are committed to serving the adult-learner population by offering a myriad of free quality non-credit courses and certificate programs, in well over 50 locations throughout our community including our South Gate Campus, Rosemead Campus, Azalea Shopping Center, neighborhood K-12 schools, churches, community centers, and many more. Furthering our commitment to connect with our community and its diverse needs. We offer courses with opportunities for individuals to gain lifelong skills for career advancement, educational growth, physical & mental well-being, and enjoyment. With a wide range of courses to satisfy your educational palate, and our ability to offer an all age inclusive experience our students can fulfill their desired goals.

Conveniently located and servicing the Southeast communities our South Gate Campus offers robust programming that prepares students to transition back to school, complete career education certificate programs while obtaining A.A. / A.S. / Transfer degrees; as well as, opportunities to transfer to universities. The South Gate campus is proud to offer students classes during the day, evening and weekend while also providing a wealth of resources with access to financial aid, counseling, career training, resume writing skills, back to school transitioning, and much more. These wrap-around services support students along their academic and career training journey. Today is the perfect day for you to begin your journey with us, as our long-lived traditional saying goes “Start at ELAC… Go Anywhere!”.
