BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA – ELAC Incubator – Powered by OmniWorks™ graduate and ELAC student Lissette Arceo has recently found success and growth for her small business Confetti Fiesta and opened a retail space in Boyle Heights in December of 2020. She is one of many small business owners who have grown their business and received valuable training in the ELAC Incubator.
Confetti Fiesta creates personalized and unique paper party goods that focuses on culturally appropriate themes. Up until now Lissette had been operating her business from her home via online sales while juggling a part time job and her education. Due to COVID-19 she lost her part time job in 2020 and focused on Confetti Fiesta full time. She not only opened a new retail space but also is adapting to soon offer curbside pickup for any of her party goods. The store is inside Saint Louis Pharmacy in Boyle Heights. The address is 2100 E 1st Street.
ELAC Incubator – Powered by OmniWorks™ prepares small business owners like Lissette with critical business education and support to launch and grow their businesses and prepare them for success.
In response to the COVID 19 pandemic the ELAC Incubator transitioned its place-based programs to an online format in June of 2020 in order to continue providing critical support to nearly 70 small businesses. The new 7-month virtual program provided workshops on Business Planning using Business Model Canvas, Customer Discovery, Entrepreneur Mindset, Financial Modeling, Community Capital (Crowd Funding), Accounting/Tax Best Practices, Legal Framework for COVID 19, Effective Sales Techniques, Digital Marketing, Presentation Skills and included small group and one-on-one mentorship.
On January 20th, the ELAC Incubator will present a Showcase featuring 2020 program graduate presentations and success stories from alumni from prior ELAC Incubators.
