Welcome to the Academic Counseling Department
The ELAC Counseling Department offers all services remotely and select services in-person. Remote services are offered through chat, telephone, video, and email using platforms such as Cranium Cafe. In-person services are provided at the Monterey Park and South Gate campuses.
Counseling services at East Los Angeles College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals. Counselors are available to assist and facilitate positive student development. Services include, Academic Counseling, Career Exploration, Educational Planning, College Transfer, and many others to help you achieve your educational goals.
Counseling Services
Our Counseling Staff provides assistance with:
- Booking appointments with a Counselor
- Accessing online counseling services
- How to complete the Online Orientation
- Questions on how to register and utilize campus resources
