About me: Although I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I moved to New York in 1989 to pursue my dream as a musical theater actress. After some successful years in theater, I returned to Los Angeles in 2005 to get my master's degree at Loyola Marymount then returned to NYC in 2009 to get my PhD at Fordham University. Now, my passion is to foster within my students here at ELAC a love of reading and writing, and also to allow my students to develop critical thinking skills in order to them to get actively involved in cultural, economic, and political issues that affect their communities.
