Faculty and Students are automatically assigned an ACE account which provides access to all ACE environments which includes computer labs on the ELAC campus and SouthGate, Campus WiFi, campus-wide printing (GoPrint), and eLumen for Student Learning Outcomes. These accounts are created once the District has processed your assignment or class enrolled. After that is completed, the Information Technology department will be able to provision your accounts.
About the ACE Environment
The purpose of the Academic Computing Environment is to provide an Academic network that will allow faculty and students to communicate using the technology that has been recently implemented at East Los Angeles College. The core of the ACE is the Accounts Management System (AMS). This centralized database system creates the accounts for faculty and students who are teaching and enrolled at East Los Angeles College to utilize the tools that have been provided. The Information Technology Department had implemented several new technologies that can be advantageous for faculty members and students.
