The Board of Governors Fee Waiver Program (BOGFW) is offered by the California Community Colleges. Under this program enrollment fees are waived for students who qualify. Applicants do not have to be enrolled in a specific number of units or courses to receive the BOGFW.
Students are eligible to apply for a BOGFW if they are:

A California Resident and are enrolled in at least one unit
Students are determined eligible in one or more of the following three separate methods of the BOGFW program:
Method A on the application:

Students/parents are receiving TANF, SSI and General Assistance

The students/parents must submit proof of receipt of benefits at the time of application
Method B on the application:
-
It’s based on the student’s/parent’s income and household size

Student must meet the following income standards

Method C on the application:

Method C provides fee waivers to every student who demonstrates financial need.

Students are eligible for financial aid and have already completed a FAFSA. To qualify under this criteria, the student needs to have a SAR or an ISIR.

The FAFSA is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov or at the Financial Aid Office.
For those students who are found eligible and have already paid for their tuition a refund may be requested at the Financial Aid Office.
