For 2011-2012 Financial Aid

To prevent delay in your fall 2011 disbursement, please follow the instruction below to update or validate your Education Goal and choose your authorization on line. 

Update your Education Goal and Authorization Statement on-line

• Click - Check financial aid status on-line on our menu bar
• Enter your SID and your password
• Click On-line form from the right hand side menu bar
• Select the College "East Los Angeles College"
• If the displayed Ed goal is not one of the following, you have listed an ineligible goal for financial aid application.  Your financial aid disbursement will be on hold until you decide one of the eligible financial aid goals below -
  • Obtain a two-year vocational degree without transfer.
  • Obtain a two-year Associate degree without transfer.
  • Obtain a vocational certificate without transfer.
  • Obtain a Bachelor’s degree after completing an Associate’s degree.
  • Obtain a Bachelor’s degree without completing an Associate’s degree.
• Click one of the eligible goals, and then click the "Submit" button to update your goal.

To update your authorization statement:

• Under the bullet "authorization of Charges" click the work "Here" to update your authorization.  Please remember to click the "submit" button to update your choice.

Please note:
Student who submitted an Ed goal change form is encouraged to validate the information on-line also.  Our process might be slow.  Validating your information on-line will help ensure your information will be corrected to avoid a delay in disbursement.
