Congratulations 2009 Graduation Candidates!

"Empowering ourselves with knowledge on the pathway to success." This year's theme reminds us that your education here at ELAC is a step in the right direction. For those of you receiving an academic certificate, your career begins soon. For others, it is a stepping stone to continuing your transfer dreams. We recognize that your journey may not have been easy; each of you has had your own problems and personal sacrifices. As you walk across the stage to receive your diploma, know that your accomplishments are also those of your family, friends and community.

We are confident that as ELAC graduates you will continue your path towards a
brighter future. We trust that the knowledge you acquired from our gifted faculty and the advice you received from our staff and administrators will become part of your problem solving abilities and quest for higher knowledge. We highly encourage you to seek new paths and to accept new challenges. As you join the ranks of the ELAC alumni family, know that you also become ambassadors and prime examples of the value of higher education. We look to you to share your knowledge with those who are set to follow your footsteps.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration, I congratulate you on your
academic accomplishments. We look forward to your participation in this year?s
