For over 50 years East Los Angeles College has recognized its responsibility to service an entire community comprised of adults, children and senior citizens. In fulfilling this goal, the college's Community Service Extension strives to continue to improve an already established program. In addition to the wide selection of classes, the program is complemented by professional instructors who concurrently teach at other distinguished institutions or privately owned studios. The college strongly welcomes community input depicting how ELAC can maximize service. Through a combination of response to community feedback and observations of current trends, the Community Service Extension has added a number of new classes including Personal Computer Literacy and Creative Video Making. Whether you are a grandchild or a grandparent, a high school student of a professional, we hope that you take advantage of the vast number of learning opportunities extended to you as a member of our community.
