I was born and raised in East Los Angeles. I have over 12 years of experience working in the field of early childhood education. My passion for the child development field emerged in 2002, while I was a student at East Los Angeles College taking my first child development class.
I received an Associate of Arts degree in Child Development from East Los Angeles College. I have also earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development from the University of Lavern and a Master's degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College.
As an educator of young children I enjoy empowering my students and preparing them with the skills they will need to be successful in school and throughout life. I am a mentor teacher for practicum students interested in pursuing a degree in early childhood education. I have also worked as a Home Base Educator and Family Advocate at Volunteers of America Children's Services Division.
