The Student Health Center offers students confidential one-on-one counseling sessions with a therapist. This is short-term counseling, up to 6 sessions per year. If further counseling is needed, students will be referred to mental health provider in the community. To book an appointment, call 323-265-8651 or stop by the Student Health Center F5-302. You must complete intake forms prior to your appointment. Please arrive 30 minutes early to fill out the forms or request them ahead of time at the front desk and bring the completed forms to your appointment.
Students can also participate in unlimited group therapy sessions. These sessions are free. Call or stop by the Student Health Center F5-302 to sign up. Limited to 10 participants.
Session offered have included Anger Management, Overcoming Substance Abuse, and Self-Esteem/Art Therapy. Check back or call the Health Center for future offerings.
Limited to currently enrolled students who are eligible to use Student Health Center services.
ELAC Women’s & Men’s Support Center:
The ELAC Women’s & Men’s Center provides education, resources, and support for anyone who has experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking or who would like information on healthy relationships. The Center also offers workshops, a Women’s Circle, and a Men’s Circle.
