Denim Day

Main Campus. Wednesday, April 23rd, 11:00-2:00, E7 Walkway. In 1998, an Italian Supreme Court decision overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore jeans. Wearing jeans became an international symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual assault. Break the silence that surrounds all forms of sexual violence. Wear denim and join us.

Main Campus. Thursday, April 24th, 10:00-2:00, E7 walkway. Please join campus offices and community agency representatives for our Campus and Community Resource Fair. Get information about resources that are available to you. Snacks sponsored by ASU.

ELAC Women and Men's Support Center is Open!

Main Campus. Visit the Women and Men's Support Center in G8-127, where any student may receive education and referrals for domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Hours: Mondays 9 -1, Tuesdays 1-5, Wednesdays 1-5, Thursdays 9-1 (closed during Spring Break; male staff on Mondays, female staff on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

Wish List Drive to benefit Los Angeles House of Ruth Women's Shelter

Ongoing event throughout the month of April. Donation bins at Main Campus in Administration (G1), Faculty Mailroom (G1-116), Women's PE (E9-112), Men's Gym (C1-135), and Women and Men's Support Center (G8-127). Donation bin also located at South Gate Campus. Contact Marilyn Ladd at 323-265-8920 for more information.
