The Fire Technology degree program is designed for students intending to enter the fire service as a career, as well as for in-service fire personnel wishing to enhance their professional and academic expertise.

Many courses within the Fire Technology discipline meet accreditation and certification standards set by the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Students seeking this degree must complete the following required the Fire Technology courses, as well as a minimum of nine units of elective courses from within the Fire Technology discipline under Plan A.
