Welcome to Art:

ELAC Faculty Through the study of animation or multimedia one enters a doorway to a career that uses technology in shaping visual communications.

If you aspire to become a professional in films, television, the internet or video, the first step is to acquire the necessary skills. Our programs at East Los Angeles College provide a foundation of technical and artistic skills using new media.

Potential career directions include: animator, advertising artist, 3D model builder, character designer, audiovisual artist/designer, filmmaker (visual effects, production, director, cinematographer, camera person, film editor, sound engineer, film graphics/producer),video game designer, illustrator, layout artist, and digital photography.

The ELAC Art Department currently offers four programs in Animation leading to AA degrees. However, it is not necessary to follow one of these programs in order to take courses in Animation. You may enroll in any course that interests you as long as you have completed any prerequisite. We encourage all interested students to consult our Animation Specialist - Chris Moreno.
