Welcome to CAOT Department:

Message From Chair:

Picture of CAOT Chairperson Elaine Shibata The CAOT Department offers a wide array of courses focused on state-of-the-art technology to train students for jobs in the workforce. Our computer-based courses also prepare students for the rigors of academia as well as computer literacy survival skills for college and transfer to a university. The CAOT Department's comprehensive program includes courses in keyboarding, business English, business communications, business terminology, customer service, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Windows Vista, the Internet, and Web design. We offer many of these courses online.

Some new courses on the cutting edge of technology are CAOT 140: Technology in the Virtual Office and CAOT 145: ePortfolio. In addition, the CAOT Department is offering an entry-level program entitled Technology & Logistics which focuses on preparing for jobs in the warehousing, transportation, and distribution industries (See CAOT 142, 143, and 144). Degree programs, certificates, certificates of achievement, and skills certificates are offered in various areas of specialized study. Explore the catalog and schedule of classes for more information about our department's many offerings.
