Upon receipt and approval of the application, ELAC will forward a letter of acceptance and Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status in applying for a student visa (F-1).

Application deadlines are as follows:

Semester	Outside the U.S.	Within the U.S.	Month Semester Begins
Spring	December 1	January 2	Feb
Fall	July 15	August 15	Sept

International student application
Minimum TOEFL score of 450 or higher, computer score of 133 or higher, OR IELTS 5 or higher
www.ets.org and ELAC code is 4296, OR Official STEP Eiken 2A grade level or higher for Japanese students
Most recent three years of qualifying examination result and/or certificate
One passport-sized photo
Affidavit of support
Confidential financial statement
US $35.00 money order, non refundable processing fee made out to ELAC-ISO
Guardian Statement – student who is under the age of 18 must have a guardian in the United States
Medical insurance, may be purchased at the beginning of the school year

Requirements for transfer student only (apply within United States):
Copy of Passport
Current I-20 from previous college/university/language school
Transfer Status Verification Form: complete by student
Notice of Intent to Transfer: given to student with provisional acceptance letter from ELAC; first half
Completed by student, second half completed by previous college/university/language school
Mail official transcripts from all previous college and/or university

All Documents submitted must be either an original copy of certified copy, and all documents must translate into English.

IMMIGRATION POLICY:
The United States Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) requires all F-1 visa students to complete a minimum of twelve (12) units of course work and maintain a 2.00 grade point average (C) each semester.
