Care program
ELAC >Student Services > Care ProgramCooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is a student support program for SINGLE PARENTS, funded by the state to provide services which assist low income single parents to succeed in reaching their educational goals. To be eligible, student parents must be EOPS eligible, 18 years or older, be a recipient of AFDC, have at least one child under the age of 14, and enrolled for at least 12 units.
CARE services include:
- Counseling
- Child care grants
- Books grants
- Tutoring
- Transfer assistance
- Transportation grants
- Other services
The CARE Program has relocated to the A4 bungalow (adjacent to the North-West Parking Lot). See the Campus Map for the exact location. The hours are from 8:30am to 7:30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Friday.
