To enroll, students must be a high school graduate or recipient of a Certificate of Proficiency from the State Board of Education (students currently enrolled in grades K-12 need to contact the admissions office for further information). New students need to complete and return the Application for Admissions, and present a photo ID and immigration/visa documentation (non US citizens). Students will be given an appointment to take the Assessment Test, and ultimately given a time/date to register for classes.
The Assessment Test is a 3.5 hour process, including the English and Math Assessment, as well as an orientation. The tests help determine the students levels of English and Mathematics, which assists in placing students in the appropriate level course.
It is highly recommended that students meet with a counselor. Our counselors are well versed in the programs offered at the college, and have assisted countless students in achieving their educational goals. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-in services are available. Contact the Counseling Department for more information or to set up an appointment.
