This agency provides advocacy and services for veterans and their dependents who live in the State of California. This agency provides claims assistance and other services to California veterans and their dependents or survivors.

NATIONAL RESOURCE DIRECTORY

The agency provides a website with specialized information and referral services for military personnel and their families in the United States. Services are targeted to active military, families of military personnel, families of retired military personnel, military reserves, veterans, and families of veterans. The website provides information about national, state, and local veterans' resources for recovery, rehabilitation, community reintegration, and support.

NAVY - MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY

The society provides financial assistance for active and retired military and their families throughout the United States.. . Services include expectant/new parent assistance, home nursing, interest-free loans, occasional emergency food assistance, personal financial counseling, thrift shops, veterans benefits assistance, and volunteer opportunities Home nurses provide health education and assistance to new mothers and infants, patients recovering from surgery, and patients with chronic health problems. The Visiting Nurse will see patients of any age.

NEW DIRECTIONS INC

The agency provides residential treatment for substance abuse for homeless male and female veterans, including those who have dual-diagnosis. Services are provided at five locations (see site list for details). There are no geographic restrictions. The women's program provides residential substance abuse treatment; it does not include detoxification services. Participants are encouraged to remain in the program for nine months to one year. Supportive services include counseling, substance abuse education, and twelve-step groups.

OCEAN PARK COMMUNITY CENTER - ADMINISTRATION

The PATHMall location provides veterans services for homeless veterans and their families. Services are targeted to low-income men and women who have served in the military and who were discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.
