The mission of the Noncredit Department at East Los Angeles College is to be a stepping stone for students who are beginning a new educational pathway. By taking this step, students can gain greater proficiency in the English language and basic skills as well as readiness for credit coursework that leads to a vocational certificate or a college degree.
