The sector encompasses four distinct, yet interrelated, career pathways: Child Development, Nutrition, Education, and Gerontology. The Nutrition and Dietetics pathway gives students the employment and education necessary for careers that involve health and wellness for all. The Gerontology Services pathway provides students with skills needed for careers related to the aging field. The knowledge and skills are acquired within these programs work on a sequential, standards-based pathway program that integrates hands-on projects, work-based instruction, and leadership development. The Child, Family and Education Studies sector programs are designed to prepare students for technical training, post-secondary education, and immediate entry into to a career.
