MONTEREY PARK, CA – The East Los Angeles College (ELAC) Professional Development Committee and Recognition Subcommittee is honoring four ELAC employees for their outstanding commitment to the ELAC campus, students, and community. Their peers nominated each employee because of their strong work ethic, outstanding service to our campus and students, and inspirational leadership, continued excellence, and spirit.
The following employees will be recognized at the upcoming Faculty & Staff Recognition event on June 8th and will also be featured on the Professional Development website. They will also receive a plaque commemorating their hard work.
- Distinguished Faculty Award (Full-Time Faculty Recognition) – Lisa Hashimoto Stone
- Distinguished Faculty Award (Adjunct Faculty Recognition) – Joanna Flores
- Distinguished Classified Award (Staff Recognition) – Tony Lin
- Outstanding Campus-wide Award (all ELAC employees are eligible) – Julie Benavides
