Wellness & Safety Series

The series ultimate goal is to contribute to ELAC members’ professional success and personal well-being. We strive to cultivate a culture of wellness and total well-being across campus. The series is open to all ELAC students and employees free of charge. 

ELAC Meditation Sessions

Open & spacious community sitting time. Minimally guided, with simple instruction to be present in stillness. No experience needed. 

 

Participants can expect to receive brief meditation instruction in the first 5 minutes of the session and can ask questions. There will be three bells to signal the start of the 20-minute silent meditation with one bell rung at the halfway point, and two bells to signal the end. After the sitting period, practitioners will be invited to stretch gently and can ask questions and can share anything if they feel moved to share in the last 5 minutes. Sessions can be adapted to include a short, guided meditation. The instructor is open to practitioner needs and requests. These sessions are open to all, can be practiced with camera on or off, in any posture that is most suitable for the participant, whether seated on cushion or chair, lying down or standing.

Are you in need of stress relief? The ELAC Student Health Center presents free Live Yoga sessions led by a certified Yoga Instructor. 

When: Every Tuesday 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
