Welcome to the E.O.P.S.-C.A.R.E. Program at East Los Angeles College. Our mission is to help C.A.R.E. students succeed both as parents and as students. We offer caring and personalized supportive services that enrich single parent’s academic, personal, and career goals. I want to personally welcome you to ELAC and more importantly to the C.A.R.E. Family. I have been a Counselor at ELAC since 2007, and it is my goal to help you succeed. In addition to being a Counselor, I am also one of the C.A.R.E. Coordinators, so look forward to meeting you!!

Ms. Herrera is a first generation college student, and grew up in a low income neighborhood in the South Bay. She attended UCLA and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
