ESL Assessment
New ESL Assessment
As of January 2020, the English as a Second Language (ESL) assessment test is no longer offered at East Los Angeles College. ELAC has implemented a new ESL assessment process known as ESL Guided Self-Placement. English Learners that would like to enroll in credit ESL courses are invited to participate in this new process.
ESL Guided Self-Placement
The ESL Guided Self-Placement process does not consist of taking a test. ESL placements results are provide immediately upon completing the survey.
