GO East: Extended Orientation

East Los Angeles College welcomes new students to participate in GO East: Extended Orientation. This free Extended Orientation offers a series of interactive workshops and activities ensuring that first-year students have all of the information, tools, and campus connections necessary for a smooth and successful transition to college!

Throughout the Extended Orientation, students will:

  • Meet and get to know other new students
  • Tour the campus & learn about ELAC support programs available to you
  • Hear from former ELAC students who are now transferring- How they did it, advice, and tips!
  • Receive extensive knowledge on the transfer process
  • Meet with Financial Aid to get any questions answered and resolve any holds or issues
  • Meet with a counselor to plan and register for fall classes, if the student has not done so already
  • And more…

Requirements to join the GO East: Extended Orientation are:

  • You're a high school graduate OR 18 years old
  • First-Time, Never Attended College
  • Must have submitted a new student application to East Los Angeles College
  • Be ready to learn and make new friends!
