First-Year Experience
Welcome to the First Year Experience (FYE) home of "Two Years Free tuition" at East Los Angeles College! FYE offers unique programming for incoming first-time college students interested in starting at ELAC. With dedicated success coaches, cohort classes, amazing counselors and more! We aim to make your success, our success. While many of our first-time college students are eligible for two years free through our College Program there are many options for students wishing to receive assistance covering the cost of tuition. We recommend all students apply to either FAFSA or Dream Act each year to find out if they qualify for additional tuition assistance, grants, and more. If you have questions regarding Admissions, Financial Aid or how to apply please follow the links on our page. Many of our offices are currently open for in-person service. Our ELAC Student Services departments also offer online/virtual options. For questions regarding FYE or College Promise at ELAC please connect with us. We are here to assist you!
