Math Assessment Process
Automated Self-Reported Placement Process
ELAC has implemented a new Math and English assessment process known as Multiple Measures. To be eligible students must satisfy one (1) of the of the following criteria within the past ten (10) years:
- Earned a high school diploma in the United States (U.S.)
- Passed the General Education Development (GED) test
- Obtain a high school proficiency certificate
Students who do not meet the criteria above will be referred to an alternative assessment known as Guide Self-Placement. Students who are eligible for Multiple Measures will receive English and Math placement levels based on high school coursework, high school grades, and high school GPA. Students are asked to self-report their high school information by answering the Multiple Measures questions. Please note that high school transcripts are not required.
Eligibility will be determined through the Admissions Process
