Monterey Park, CA - The Sisterhood Expo, a dynamic celebration of women's entrepreneurship and empowerment, took center stage yesterday at East Los Angeles College. This eagerly anticipated event brought together over 60 women-owned businesses, along with community leaders, visionaries, and aspiring entrepreneurs, for a day of inspiration, collaboration, and growth.

The expo included keynote speeches from distinguished guests, including María Elena Durazo, California Senator for District 26, and Sasha Renée Pérez, Vice Mayor for the City of Alhambra. Senator Durazo and Vice Mayor Pérez’s stirring addresses resonated with attendees, emphasizing the importance of women's leadership and economic empowerment in driving positive change within communities.

Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to explore a vibrant marketplace showcasing a diverse range of women-owned businesses. From fashion and beauty to technology and wellness, the expo offered something for everyone, highlighting the innovation and talent within the community.

Educational workshops provided valuable insights and practical advice for attendees looking to start or grow their own businesses. Led by successful women entrepreneurs, these sessions covered topics such as marketing strategies, financial planning, and leadership development, empowering participants to take their ventures to the next level.

Networking opportunities abounded, allowing attendees to connect with like-minded individuals, forge new partnerships, and celebrate the achievements of women in business. The supportive atmosphere fostered collaboration and camaraderie, reinforcing the expo's mission of empowering women to succeed.

Raffle prizes added an element of excitement to the day's festivities, with attendees walking away with an array of valuable gifts and experiences. The expo concluded on a high note, leaving participants inspired, motivated, and ready to take on new challenges in their entrepreneurial journeys.

"We are thrilled with the success of this year's Sisterhood Expo," said ELAC President Alberto J. Román. "It was truly inspiring to see women from all walks of life come together to celebrate entrepreneurship, share their stories, and support one another. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to empower women in our community."
