The Math Tutoring Center will offer in-person and online tutoring for the Spring 2024 semester.
In-Person Hours of Operation
Monterey Park Campus
Mondays to Thursdays: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday/Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
South Gate Educational Center
Mondays/Wednesday/Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday/Thursday: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00AM - 2:00PM
Online Hours of Operation
Fridays and Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
In-Person Services Offered
- “Walk-in” tutoring sessions, when tutors are available.
- TI Graphing calculator rental program. $15 rental fee.
About the Lab
Students can walk in at their convenience and receive free tutoring without appointment. They can study alone or in groups. The Math Tutoring Center is equipped with computers with Microsoft Office, Internet access, and mathematical software. To use the Math Tutoring Center, an East Los Angeles College student identification number (SID) is required.
How to obtain a rental calculator
Click on the link below, print the file, present it to the Fiscal Office, pay $15 in cash, and then present your proof of payment to a staff member at the Math Tutoring Center.

The Math Tutoring Center is located in G5-LL009. Students must check-in at the front desk with a valid LACCD student ID.
South Gate Educational Center
Room 122. Students must check-in at the front desk with a valid LACCD student ID.

Student must haves for a tutoring session
- A list of questions to be addressed during the session.
