College offers credit courses, designed for English Language Learners. Our aim is to help international students and residents of Los Angeles from diverse language and cultural backgrounds achieve their academic and career goals by giving them a solid foundation in academic English skills with the opportunity of gaining UC and CSU transferable units. We offer six-unit classes (3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, and 8), which focus on writing, grammar, and reading; three-unit classes (3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B) for reading and vocabulary skills; and three-unit classes (3C, 4C, 5C, 6C), with an emphasis on conversation and listening comprehension.
