FAFSA Application Deadlines

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the federal application for financial aid. This application is also used to apply for aid from other sources, such as state and school.

FAFSA application processes:

1. Complete the FAFSA application on-line at www.fafsa.gov.
2. List East Los Angeles College's institution federal school code: 001222
3. After the FAFSA is submitted on-line, it may take anywhere between 3 to 15 days for your information to show up on your student portal.  If you do not receive a financial aid notification indicates that we receive your FAFSA information, please check with the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office.  There may be a chance that your name and/or Social Security Number are mismatched between your FAFSA and school record.
4. Therefore, it is to your advantage to apply as early as possible to meet the application deadline, we must have all of your documents by the last day of your enrollment period.
