Nursing provides unlimited opportunities for creativity, innovation and leadership while demanding integrity, commitment and compassion. The role of a nurse is varied. You may practice as a caregiver, educator or researcher. The work is diverse, complex, demanding, challenging, and above all, very gratifying.



Important Update:

As of 15 March 2018, East Los Angeles College is no longer on warning status!

Open enrollment May 1st - May 25th 2018

Applications will only be given during the hours listed below beginning Tuesday May 1st, 2018 in Building G1 Room 302 until May 25th, 2018

  • Mondays 8:00AM-11:30AM & 1PM-4:30PM
  • Tuesdays 7:30AM-11:30AM & 1PM-5:30PM
  • Wednesdays Applications will not be given
  • Thursdays 9AM - 12:30PM & 2:00PM-5:30P
  • Fridays Applications will not be given
  • TEAS Test must be completed and scores must be submitted by May 25th 2018

Please Note:
Applications are not for a specific semester. Currently the wait time to start the nursing program is between 2-3 years.

We are currently not accepting transfer students due to limited space. Transfer students are considered students who have been in another nursing program.

If you are an LVN and have completed all the prerequisites and have passed the TEAS test (ATI TEAS with a score of 62% or above) you can get on our waiting list. Our waiting time is at least 2 ½ years. In order to get on our waiting list you need to meet with the nursing counselor, Ms. M. Su. She is located in the Counseling Department.
