Welcome to the East Los Angeles College Respiratory Therapy Department . The Respiratory Therapy Program offers two program degrees. The first one being the Associates of Science in Respiratory Therapy Degree which is comprised of a comprehensive and highly respected 2-year program that prepares students for a career in the Respiratory Care field. Our Program combines classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory and clinical experience to give students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as Respiratory Therapists. Graduates of the program are in high demand and have a strong track record of success in their careers.
Our second degree is a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Degree. If you are looking to advance your career further or specialize in areas such as critical care, diagnostic studies, pulmonary rehabilitation, or home care, the BSRT program is the next step. This program builds upon the foundational skills of the ASRT while focusing on leadership, advanced clinical practice, and research. With a BSRT, you will be equipped for greater career opportunities, including educator positions and management roles.
